Pets for Adoption
Here's our current selection of dogs and cats. You need to scroll down to see all the animals for aodption. Please Contact Us or come by the FOCCAS Saturday Pony Village Mall Adoption Booth. We also have a smaller adoption day at Coos Grange in Coos Bay, Wednesday 11-3. Also visit the Coos County Animal Shelter to find your perfect new friend!
We do an interview to determine a good match for the family and for the pet. You may be asked to fill out an application. We have a contract for you to sign and copies are given to you. We also provide medical records to you so you know what has been done to the pet and you can discuss it with your veterinarian. All animals are spayed or neutered prior to adoption. We do pediatric spays and neuters, meaning kittens at 2 pounds (8 weeks) and puppies at 8 weeks. Our adopted pets will NOT to contribute to pet overpopulation.
Through the end of 2013 ADOPTION FEES FOR CATS/KITTENS
We have a special adoption fee for our felines. If you adopt two cats/kittens and the second one is black or black/white the fee is $100. The regular fee for one cat/kitten is $75. We have many siblings that would benefit with this special so they can get homes together. This year is a big black or black/white kitten year.
Here are the cats/kittens and dog/puppies that are in our Foster Care and waiting for YOU to make a difference in their lives.
Keep in mind that the funding for our non-profit organization comes from the Adoption Fees and Donations that come to us from pet placement into a loving home or through your generosity and belief in the good we do in our community. Adoption fees for cats $75. The dogs starting adoption fee is $150.00 depending on the age or breed. These fees provide one or more vaccines, rabies vaccine if old enough, de-worming, flea treatment, spay or neuter, cats felv/fiv testing, Coos County Dog License, dental or skin treatments or any surgeries for the health and welfare of our animals. We also microchip and register our animals with the 24 Pet Watch Brand scanable microchips for both dogs and cats.
We have many animals that their adoption fee does not cover their medical expenses. That is why our donations are so important so we can still continue to help these special animals. It could be a puppy with a shattered leg, a kitten that needs her eye removed, or a senior needing bloodwork/dental/and hernia repair.
Please continue to spread the word that this organization, Friends of Coos County Animals, is the place to adopt your next forever friend. There are precious Pets of all ages that need that special place to call home. If you can't adopt, then foster some little critters until we can place them. And, if that's still not possible, then DONATE to our cause with your time, food and supplies, or monies.
